Meet the Team
Hunter Rothacker
Hunter Rothacker, a former collegiate baseball player at Potomac State and currently the Head Coach for Bo Jackson Elite East 13U. With a deep passion for player development, I specialize in working with pitchers to build a strong foundation in mechanics, arm care, and the mental side of the game.
My coaching philosophy is rooted in a personalized approach—tailoring instruction to each athlete’s unique strengths and areas for growth. I believe in developing complete players by fostering discipline, confidence, and a love for the game. Helping athletes reach their full potential is not just a goal—it's what drives me every day.
Mark Stacy
Mark Stacy was one of the West Virginia Conference’s top hitters throughout his career and helped the West Liberty baseball team dominate the WVIAC’s Northern Division during the late 1970s. A native of Steubenville, Ohio, Mark led the Hilltoppers in hits in 1975, becoming only the second freshman to earn first-team All-WVIAC honors since the first All-WVIAC team was selected in 1963.
He was a three-time All-WVIAC selection and a first-team NAIA All-Area 7 honoree as a junior. Mark played a key role in leading Coach Jim Watson’s West Liberty squad to four consecutive WVIAC Northern Division titles, three straight WVIAC championships, and multiple NAIA Area 7 tournament berths.
Mark also helped guide Steubenville Post 33’s American Legion team to six Ohio state titles during a 30-year coaching career. As team manager for nine seasons, he compiled an impressive 302-129 (.701) record, including the 2007 state title. In addition, he served as an assistant coach at Steubenville High School for 21 years.
Beyond his accomplishments at the collegiate and American Legion levels, Mark brings a passion for developing younger players. He has a deep understanding of the game and is especially skilled at coaching hitting, fielding, and the mental aspects of baseball.

Tristan Haught
Tristan Haught is a proud alumnus of Wright State University baseball, where he spent five seasons as one of the Raiders’ most dependable pitchers. A native of Richmond, Ohio and graduate of Edison High School, Tristan brought his small-town work ethic and competitive edge to the Division I level, carving out a reputation as both a resilient athlete and a trusted teammate.
Tristan’s passion for the game now extends beyond his own career, as he shifts his focus to developing the next generation of athletes. His goals are simple but powerful: to help each kid become not only the best athlete they can be, but also the best person they can be. He emphasizes teaching young players to understand how their body and mind operate, while guiding them to recognize the steps necessary to reach the next level of performance.
At The Hitting House, Tristan’s plan is to create individualized routines tailored to each athlete’s needs. This includes structured throwing and arm care programs, as well as strength and mobility training designed to build durability, efficiency, and confidence on the field. His approach combines the discipline of a Division I athlete with the compassion of a mentor who genuinely cares about his players’ growth on and off the diamond.
Mike Scott
Mike Scott, a 1998 graduate of Indian Creek High School, continued his athletic career at Waynesburg University, where he played college baseball. Now residing in Wintersville, Mike has spent the last 13 years dedicated to coaching travel softball, including the past five years with the Ohio Stingrays 25/26 National Team. Under his leadership, the Stingrays have captured multiple national showcase tournament titles, highlighted by winning the 2022 USA Softball National Championship.
Over the course of his coaching career, Mike has had the privilege of working with athletes who have gone on to compete at the next level — with 34 players he’s coached becoming current or former college softball players. His passion for the game is also personal, as his daughter, McKenna, is currently playing softball at Tiffin University.
Mike’s coaching philosophy focuses on developing hitters through a blend of mechanics and athletic strength. His approach emphasizes increasing swing speed, building core strength, and improving balance and timing, all while refining swing mechanics. By combining technical instruction with a focus on physical development, Mike’s goal is to help each player reach their fullest potential at the plate.
Maddie Fields
Maddie was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio, where she attended Steubenville High School and played varsity softball for four years, earning a varsity letter each season. She went on to continue her athletic career at the Division II level at Ursuline College in Cleveland, where she played third base and further developed her skills as a student-athlete.
In addition to her accomplishments on the field, Maddie has built a career in healthcare as a nursing assistant at a local hospital. She is also CPR and BLS certified, ensuring she brings both professionalism and care to every environment she is part of.
Maddie’s experience, discipline, and dedication make her a strong addition to The Hitting House team, and she looks forward to helping athletes grow both in skill and confidence.
