Hitting House Rules & Policies

Access & Security

Q: How do I access the batting cage facility after I made a reservation through the Upper Hand software?

A: Membership access is granted via a unique personal PIN code that you will receive within 24hrs of your membership. Members must enter their own code at each visit and the door must fully close behind you before the next person enters.

***Sharing PIN code or propping doors open is strictly prohibited. Any violation results in immediate membership cancellation, a $150 fine, and possible legal action for unauthorized access.

Q: How do I access the batting cage facility after I made a reservation through the Upper Hand software for a private lesson, but we are not an active member with a PIN code?

A: You will need to text the instructor once you arrive so they can open the main door to access the facility. We may consider unique PIN codes for door access that can ONLY be used for that instructor’s available time slot in the future.

Guests

Q: Can I bring a guest to assist with supplying the pitching machine with baseballs or softballs?

A: All non-members entering the Hitting House and accessing a batting cage, must complete a Guest Pass registration prior to entry — even if there is no charge.

This free Guest Pass serves three purposes:

  1. It confirms the individual’s agreement to the Hitting House’s liability waiver and safety policies.
  2. It allows us to maintain accurate records of who is in the facility at any given time for security and insurance purposes.
  3. Allows the guest to assist with supplying the pitching machine with baseballs and/or softballs for a paid member.

By completing the Guest Pass registration, guests acknowledge:

  • They are entering and using the Hitting House at their own risk.
  • They have read and agreed to the posted safety rules, facility policies, and liability waiver.
  • They will comply with all staff instructions and posted rules while on the premises.

Failure to complete a Guest Pass before entering may result in removal from the facility and fines to the sponsoring member.

**NO PIN CODE WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH THIS MEMBERSHIP AS THE GUEST WILL ENTER WITH THE PAID MEMBER**

Cage & Facility Use

Q: How long can I reserve the batting cage for?

A: Members may reserve one cage for 30 minutes per day, up to 10 days in advance.

  • If unable to attend, members must cancel online to free the space for others.
  • Walk-ins may stay beyond reserved time if the cage is open.
  • No more than one hitter and one feeder per cage at any time.
  • Team practices or group sessions require pre-approval and a separate rental agreement.

 Equipment & Safety

Q: Can I bring my own baseball or softballs to use?

A:  No outside buckets or balls permitted; The Hitting House provides approved training balls and equipment. Bring only your own bat, glove, and helmet.

  • Helmets are required during live pitching or machine use.
  • L-screens are mandatory for pitchers during live throwing; pitchers must remain behind screens at all times.
  • Footwear: Tennis or turf shoes only; no rubber or metal cleats.
  • Members must clean up after use: pick up balls and trash, return buckets, tees, and L-screens to their spots. Leave the Facility better than you found it.

Trainers, Catchers & Household Use

Q: Can I bring my own trainer to the Hitting House?

A: No outside trainers or coaches are allowed to participate in a member’s cage time.  Only The Hitting House staff or approved trainers may conduct lessons.

Parents/guardians from the member’s household may assist without charge. All other assistants, including catchers, must follow guest rules and purchase a guest pass.

Membership Terms

Q: I have multiple children, do they each require a separate membership?

A: No. All memberships are per household family, so if you have multiple children, they can all participate under (1) membership.  However, you can only reserve one cage per 30 minutes per day.

  • Membership covers household family members but still allows only one cage booking at a time.
  • Initial memberships are 3, 6 & 12 month contracts, automatically rolling to month-to-month thereafter.
  • Members may cancel with 14 days’ notice by emailing or texting the Hitting House.
  • Rejoining after cancellation requires a Join fee and payment at the current rate.

Safety, Conduct & Liability

Q: Is the Hitting House under video & audio surveillance?

A: Yes, you are being recorded and monitored both inside and outside the premises by security cameras

  • The Facility is under 24/7 video & audio surveillance. Misuse, theft, or violations may result in fines, cancellation, and/or prosecution.
  • Emergency exits are for emergencies only; notify the Hitting House staff immediately if used.
  • The Hitting House is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Members use the Facility at their own risk and agree to exercise caution and common sense.
